Lets see if this gets past the IP Censor Board.

"An eye for an eye will turn the world blind"
Not courtesy Gandhi, but Christ.

Kids are searchin' for their burnt parents...
Families are yearnin' for their slaughtered ones...
Nuns are pleadin' for their vows of abstinance to be respected
Priests are questionin' if they will even get a decent burial...

If by any sheer chance you happen to be a Christian in Orissa...
You get to become a martyr for Christ by being murdered, killed, castrated, raped, lynched...
*Take your pick*

At these times,I would say, "Chuck the right to religion! All we are askin' for is the right to live - the first among the basic rights in our democracy."

...DEMOCRACY...
"India is my country.
All Indians are my brothers and sisters..."

That, lil' couplet is from your School Pledge of Integrity.
Add to that, the fact, that the Right to Religion is as essential as any other right and the oft forgotten statment that India somehow just happens to be the largest Democracy in the world and we have our first catastrophic dilemma of the day.

Why are thousands in Orissa being subjected to unspeakable atrocities in the name of "cleansin'-the-evil-out-of-the-land"?
Call it a colonial hangover...
Accept it or denounce it...
But the fact remains that Christians have played a major part in establishin' good educational, medical and what-not-institutions throughout the Indian Subcontinent.
But is anyone listenin'? ...and even if you are,are you hearin'?

Responding to the allegations of forced conversions in tribal areas is highly infuriating an act because such accusations only belittle the tribals as lacking in judgement themselves. Also Half the crowd involved in the rampagin' doesnt even realise that it was'nt the "Christians" who killed Swami Laxamananda Saraswati. The Maoist leader, Sabyasachi Panda, claimed responsibility for the death of the Swami
The Maoists have accepted the blame...
But who cares???

Its not like the Christians are silent either.
There have been statements issued by the various Christian organisations condemnin' the killin' of the Swami.Christian organizations all over India are also busy denouncing the inaction of the government of Orissa, and of the central government. They are especially asking for the prohibition of radical Hindu groups, The VHP, the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), the BD (Bajrang Dal) have the objective of eliminating minorities and all religions other than Hinduism. They find their political expression and protection in the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), currently in the opposition in the confederation, but in power in Orissa.

For those lost in their own blissful urban worlds... Welcome to reality!
I myself have witnessed marches in the Capital City of India where people have been shoutin' slogans like "Kick the Christians Out!", "Make India Christian-Free".
I have at all times, been an avid believer of the right to expression.
But when the person in front detests me for being born in a Christian family and wishes to chuck me out of my own motherland ...
*That*
Yes, that is the point, when I start realisin' that my belief that the other person's right to freedom ended where my nose began might actually be a myth.

For the uninitiated, Umasankar Acharya of Bajrang Dal summarized the motive of the anti-Christian violence...
"We will get the whole Hindu nation together and whoever stands against the rights of Hindus, we will finish them... India has always been, is and forever will be a Hindu nation."

"Look into my eyes
Tell me what you see
You don't see a damn thing
'cause you (still) can't relate to me..."
